We raised over $13,000 for Asheville Greenways.
This race donates 100% of net proceeds to charity!
We raised our spirits with a race hard won (remember those hills - oh yes you do).
We raised glowing pint glasses with smiling, sweaty friends - what could be better?
The rolling course will take you from Highland to the Beverly Hills neighborhood of East Asheville and through the Asheville Municipal Golf Course. As you leave Beverly Hills there will be a downhill section before crossing Swannanoa River Road and hooking up with Azalea Road before taking Gashes Creek Road to the its end where you will meet up with a trail leading back to the brewery. We have altered the course slightly so that the first half is less steep. Gone is that really steep hill at the beginning of the golf course. Instead you go through the golf course with a more gradual climb that makes the course .25 mile longer. The finish line is moving to be in front of the stairs leading to our new Event Center and Roof Top Patio for the post race party.
Runners over 21 with their IDs at check-in will be wrist-banded. For those runners, a ticket will be on your bib will be good for one pint of any year-round or seasonal beer at the post-race party. All runners who register by June 20 will receive a special, one-time race tank top to mark the occasion plus other goodies to be announced later.
Due to a high priority on the security of your items, we will not have a bag drop area at the race. Please pick up your packet and return to your car for storage.
We have room for about 450 cars at the brewery. Car pooling is very much encouraged.
Friday, July 8 – 4:00-7:00 PM – Highland Brewing Tasting Room

100% of race proceeds will be directed to the Asheville Parks & Greenways Foundation. We hope to foster development of the planned greenway along the Swannanoa River in east Asheville, which will eventually connect Azalea Park to the River Arts District.
The sun will set at 8:47 pm and there will be a full moon that night but light will fade during the latter part of the race. Lights will mark key sections of the course and the course will be staffed with volunteers and police throughout. Reflective clothing and other blinking lights are encouraged but not required.
Special commemorative awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers for Overall and Masters (40 & Over).
Age group awards will go to the first, second and third male and female in the following age groups: 18 & Under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Over. No double dipping!
