The band quickly developed a reputation in the High Country for playing music that touches people at their core in a way that hearkens back to a time when music was more closely intertwined with nature. With Mitch Johnston on stand up bass and vocals, James T. Browne on drums and vocals, Jay...

Think of a rustic cabin where the roots of the writing were born. Then you open the doors of the cabin and step out to a busy city street, where lights are flashing and you just feel like in a matter of minutes, you've just experienced the best of both worlds. In a nutshell, this is Sidecar Honey. Down home roots sounds with an original modern edge. Vocalist/guitarist Dave Dribbon, vocalist/mandolinist Jeff Honeycutt and lap steel/banjo/guitarist Randy Dzielak are the songwriters. Their songs are Indie/Americana/Rock. With strong vocals/harmonies and a dynamic but sometimes...

BAND WEBSITE

"Glass is a blues-infected troubadour..."

The best compliment songwriter and front woman, Leigh Glass, has ever received was when a fan approached her after a show and said,”Your music makes me wanna go home and make love to my husband.” The bluesy songstress and her band, the Hazards, play their own gutsy, charismatic style of rock and roll. The songs are original and the live show is sweaty, passionate, funny, and engaging.

“I tell people, if you sit in the front row ,you're gonna get (accidentally) spit on!”

With deep roots in Western North Carolina - - her...

Zip the Hippo Live at Highland Brewing CompanyOnce upon a time we all figured out that we really love music, and that home made music was way better than the McMusic cranked out by the machine...some things happened at different times and to different people some of whom we don't even know...later we all started meeting at the same house every wednesday to drink and smoke.... soon it was thursdays and sundays, we kept forgetting to buy beer and eventually everyone quits smoking, so we had to write and play more to fill out the extra time. Our friend who owns a restaurant would book us everytime a real band would cancel...and...
