Hunter Banks Co. announces a premiere screening of "Where the Yellowstone Goes" at our tasting room on Thursday, June 28th. The film will screen at 7:00 pm and doors open at 6:00 pm. Presented by Hunter Banks Co., "Where the Yellowstone Goes" is a feature length documentary from award-winning director, Hunter Weeks. Filmed in August and September of 2011, the film follows a small crew on a 30-day float down the Yellowstone River from Gardiner, Montana., to the confluence of the Missouri River at Fort Buford, N.D., a nearly 600-mile journey. Led by fourth-generation Montanan and fly fishing guide Robert Hawkins, the crew explores fly-fishing, conservation, and the type of clarity that can only be found upon slowing down. Along the way, the film captures notes of wisdom as told by the locals met throughout the 30-day adventure. With Montana’s captivating scenery at the forefront, Where the Yellowstone Goes is a story about people, our environment, and the harmony that exists between them. The filming captures some of the clean-up effort less than two months after the spill. “People are becoming more aware of how important our nation’s waterways are,” Weeks said, “I think this film will really resonate and help people understand that they can do something. This isn’t just about fly fishing and conservation. This is about real life.” Tickets to the show are $10 at Hunter Banks Co. or you can purchase them online by clicking here.
