
Highland Brewing Company in Asheville NC seeks to add a Cellarman/Brewing Assistant to our brewing team. Successful candidate will be responsible for duties such as wort production, yeast management, cleaning, sanitizing, and purging tanks; filtering and carbonating beer; monitoring and recording information; and maintaining equipment. The music of Zansa (a Nouchi slang word from the Ivory Coast meaning combination, or blend) is a mix of traditional and modern styles from West Africa, America, and beyond. The Asheville-based ensemble blends African folk songs with modern afropop and the driving, pulsating rhythms of African drumming. Hints of rock, afrobeat, and Latin music are also woven into the mix. The result is an original take on the authentic sounds of West Africa.
The River Rats formed in Asheville around early 2011 as a street busking project. Jumpstarted from several songs written by local singer/songwriter Andrew Scotchie, The River Rats have evolved from a stripped down guitar and harmonica duo between Scotchie and other local player Andrew Adams to a full on rock/soul and blues outfit.
